A Few Answers to Questions You May Have

What should I expect on a Sunday afternoon?

In our Sunday afternoon meeting we invite you to arrive a few minutes early to grab a cup of coffee/tea and something to eat (all free). At 4:00 we start with a short welcome, then we worship God through song. During this time we encourage people to contribute prayers, a scripture, or something God may be impressing on them to encourage the church. (1 Cor. 14:26) Then we have a time of teaching from the Bible. At the end all are welcome to stay for more coffee and food. We also invite anyone who would like prayer for anything to stick around and receive prayer.

How should I dress?

We are a casual community of people, so feel free to come as you are. If you enjoy dressing up, feel free to do that too.

Am I expected to give money?

It is important to us that guests do not feel pressured to give. The Bible teaches that giving should not be done out of compulsion, but rather a heart of worship. Our primary concern is that you connect with Jesus.

What kind of church is NCC?

New Community Church is a non-denominational church committed to becoming the kind of community described in the New Testament - a place of authentic relationships, heart-felt worship, compassion for others, relevant teaching, and an openness to the Holy Spirit. We also strive to reflect the diversity of our city by opening our doors to people of all backgrounds.

What is NewFrontiers?

New Community Church is joined with a worldwide family of churches called Newfrontiers. We feel God has connected our hearts together in mission, relationship, and shared values. Through our relationship with Newfrontiers, we benefit from apostolic input and other ministries listed in Ephesians 4 (namely prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers - who travel amongst the churches). Together we are caring for our world by reaching the nations with the message of God's grace.
